Does the '17+ model Grom have a much different maintenance schedule than the previous generation Grom? I've seen this maintenance schedule posted in a few forums and it is much different than mine. Mine (2018 model) doesn't ask for a valve clearance check until 4,000 miles, whereas this one says to inspect at 600 miles.I've got the same problem, started at around 1500 miles, split second break up when accelerating in second gear after a turn at around 4500-5000rpm. There IS a break-in procedure. It's outlined in the full Owner's Manual. Basically, don't floor it. accelerate suddenly, or tow for the first 600 miles. Don't brake hard for the first 200 miles. 2. Honda advises dealers not to change the oil until the Maintenance Minder prompts for an oil change.
