Cleaned off the pickup on the flywheel, ran a new lead from trigger unit to coil, and tractor fired right up. Shut it off, let sit a minute, fired right back up. Let itnsit 10 minutes and now no spark again. It is not the ignition switch as I have the coil wired directly to the trigger unit for testing.No volts = start tracking down the safety interlocks. The new starter spins things so fast that it takes longer to start than it used to with the original starter running slow. I probably just need to re-learn gas and choke points and operation. Pete.
